Welcome to the Community Service program at Mountain House High School DECA! Our program offers many students across Mountain House the incredible opportunity to engage themselves in our DECA chapter, earning valuable community service hours in the process! Our program involves several valuable experiences, such as engagement in service programs we hold around the community, or allowing students to write their DECA-related blogs to be featured on our website! Here’s how to get involved:

Choose a Topic
Select a relevant DECA-related topic that you find interesting or are passionate about.

Submit for Review
Submit your article through our online submission form. Our team will review and approve it based on its quality and relevance.

Write your Article
Create a well-structured and engaging blog post! (500-700 words) that provides value to our readers.

Earn Service Hours
Upon approval, your article will be published on our website, and you will receive 1 approved hour of community service!

What is it?
For over 70 years, MDA has supported those with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and neuromuscular diseases. Together, DECA members have raised $5M for these fighters.
MHHS DECA is now launching a campaign for individual donations and needs your support!

This initiative can help develop leadership skills, give a boost to your resume, and is a great networking opportunity for all of you!

How to Raise Money
1. Red-Line Fundraising: Sign up, set your goals, and smash them by launching your fundraising campaign!
2. Donation Stands: Organize, promote, and set up stands to engage your community and collect vital donations.
3. Marketing Power: Get creative! Share this post, design eye-catching booths, use common hashtags, and spread the word with promo flyers to make more impact.

Prizes
Our chapter is excited to announce incentives for participation! The top fundraiser (individual or team of 2) will win a $50 gift card of their choice and a feature on our Instagram @mhhsdeca. Additionally, every $25 raised earns a raffle ticket for a chance to win another $50 gift card!

How to Donate
You can donate directly through the MDA's donation page. Visit this link to make your contribution and help the MDA continue its important work. Please select “Join our Team” to create your page on our chapter MDA site to get donations/start raising money.
Important Deadline: Donations must be in by February 24, 2025, to qualify for raffle entries and prizes. Contributions after this date are still welcome and will continue to fuel MDA’s mission.

Throughout our chapter campaigns, we are delighted to announce that Mountain House DECA will also be conducting various community service outreach activities throughout the school year! Participating will not only provide more opportunities for gaining valuable community service hours but will also help become more engaged with our chapter.
